Welcome visitors with a free AI chatbot.

Add your business details, FAQs, opening hours and response rules. AI replies using those instructions, while your team can review each visitor conversation and respond directly.

Four characters and a floating widget

Choose Geometric, AI, Adults or Children, and add a floating support launcher to your site.

The chatbot feature is free in Lite. Your own OpenAI API key and separate API usage fees are required. Translation, branding and custom image uploads are Pro features.

1. Install & activate

Download the ZIP. In WordPress → Plugins → Add Plugin → Upload Plugin, replace Lite with Pro. Existing conversations and settings are retained. A paid order issues one key for one website. Enter the key under FreeTalk Messenger → License. Deactivate the old site before moving.

2. Free AI chatbot · Lite & Pro

1. Create a private-per-visitor support room and copy its share link.
2. Paste the link in the AI chatbot room field in plugin settings.
3. Sign in to OpenAI Platform, select a project, configure API billing or credit, then create a secret key in API keys. Save it in the plugin API settings. ChatGPT subscriptions do not include API usage.
4. Write detailed business information, hours, prices, contacts, FAQs and reply rules. Never include passwords or keys. Enable AI replies and test from a new visitor session. Enable the floating widget if wanted. Each visitor’s conversation remains separate.

3. Automatic translation · Pro

Activate your Pro license, save your OpenAI API key, enable translation in admin and set the daily request limit. In Messenger, turn translation ON and choose the target language. Incoming source languages are detected automatically. Interface languages and translation targets are separate. Translation sends decrypted message text to OpenAI; translated text is displayed in the browser and excluded from backups. Quality varies by language.

4. Google Drive · Pro

1. Create a Google Cloud project and enable Google Drive API.
2. Configure OAuth consent and the intended audience; add your account as a test user in testing mode.
3. Create an OAuth web application client. Copy the exact redirect URI shown in FreeTalk Messenger → Attachments · Google Drive into the authorized redirect URIs.
4. Save Client ID and Client Secret in the plugin, then authorize the desired Google account.
5. Confirm Connected and test uploading and opening a small attachment. Keep the account and folder.
Uses drive.file permission for files created by the plugin. Files and additional backups are stored in the site administrator’s connected Drive, not every visitor’s Drive. No plugin file-size cap; Drive space, service limits and browser storage still apply.

5. Encryption & recovery · Pro

New regular conversations and files are encrypted; existing plaintext and AI support rooms are excluded. All active participants must open the updated messenger once. Members open the lock menu and configure recovery using their WordPress password. Confirm the Drive recovery backup timestamp. A new browser can be approved by an existing device or recover keys with the password used for the backup. Renew recovery after changing your WordPress password; older backups require the old password. Guests use existing-device approval. Key recovery does not restore a lost WordPress database.

6. Backups & voice calls

Full conversation and encrypted key backups are scheduled for 02:00 Asia/Seoul. WP-Cron requires site requests or a server cron; low traffic can delay execution. Voice calls are included in Lite and Pro. Select a participant for a one-to-one call, including guests. Requires HTTPS, a supported browser and microphone access. Use media volume to adjust sound.

7. Troubleshooting

API: check the key, billing, model, daily limit and translation switch.
Drive: check the exact redirect URI and test users.
Encryption: check first access and device approval.
Recovery: check backup creation and the backup-time password.
Large encrypted videos: downloading, verification and decryption require free device storage.
0.16.0-rc.5 is a release candidate. Real payment-to-license email delivery and operational Drive backup integration have not yet been fully tested.
